Thiruvananthapuram: Customers of Bevco (state beverages corporation) outlets can SMS or email their grievances to authorities concerned. Bevco’s initiative is part of the efforts to bring in transparency in the sales mechanism. “The messages and emails will be registered in the head office. The complaints sent will be attended to by the area officials concerned and the customer will be informed soon after rectifying it,” Bevco managing director N Prasanth said. The SMS can be sent to 9447297902 and the emails at complaintredressalksbc@gmail. The corporation has also strengthened its internal audit mechanism, with a team of four members at each of its 22 warehouses across the state. A team of 10 officials will spearhead the audit mechanisms from the corporation headquarters in the capital. In the wake of the detection of malpractices by its own employees, the corporation, at a recent board meeting, had decided to bring its outlets under camera surveillance.
