This 1.82 kgram North American Lunar Brecciated Anorthosite Meteorite was recovered on the Uncompahgre Plateau in Western Colorado. There are those who insist that Lunar Meteorites have NEVER been recovered in North America, Europe, or Asia, and land ONLY in Northwest Africa, Antarctica, or Australia! Apparently, this fine specimen was not properly briefed on permissible landing locations prior to his decent into the Earths atmosphere! One might be inclined to say, He had a mind of his own! Besides, Native Americans have been using Lunar meteorites, and other extraterrestrial materials for centuries in the construction of their survival tools, as in spear points, arrowheads, skinning tools, hide softeners, and sewing tools. Try knapping terrestrial sandstone, or limestone, into a bird point, and let me know how you come out!
