This Anniversary of 9/11 has caused me to take pause and reflect on what has happened to America since that horrible day. We, as a people have gradually given up a great many of our inherent, God given rights in a misguided attempt at achieving security for ourselves and our families. Americas problem is that we, as a people, have voluntarily given up and cast aside a substantial portion of that most valuable gift we have been entrusted to keep and protect, a gift so valuable that it is responsible for making America stand proudly alone upon the worlds stage, that gift is our FREEDOM! Has our past history been so far removed by time that we no longer remember the sacrifices that our forefathers made in order for us to enjoy the freedom that God has ordained inherent for all mankind? Since September 11, 2001 There Have Been More Americans Killed By The Police Than By Terrorists! The job of being a police officer has become safer, as the number of police killed by gunfire plunged to 33 last year, down 50% from 2012, to its lowest level since, wait for it, 1887, a time when the population was 75% lower than it is today. What would you say has changed within society in order for the police to no longer protect and serve the American citizen but, now to seemingly Seek And Destroy those same people. Could one reason be the ever increasing militarization of our state and local law enforcement? Or could the fact that most of Americas police departments refrain and outright refuse to hire a law enforcement candidate who exhibits an above average IQ? Is Americas police force some sort of magnet that draws men with Malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder to join the ranks of other such men? To find these answers requires that we Americans collectively reach in and pull back that Blue Curtain of police self-protection that is the elephant in the room.
