This Bill Cosby thing really bothers me because it just does not make any sense in my opinion. I believe that all of us have formed an relationship with Mr.Cosby, Americas Dad, The Jello Pudding man and an outspoken advocate of Civil Rights for our people. He is also a well noted philanthropist who has donated upwards of 20 million dollars to different institutes of higher learning. As he has grown older some of his rants have been uncalled for and a little harsh when speaking on the current state of affairs concerning the actions of African Americans today, but I can to a degree understand his less than complimentary comments and opinions on this subject. I just do not see his character being on the level of someone who could do the things he is accused of. He has not really addressed these accusations but when I look at his current pics which are everywhere now he seems to look really hurt as anyone would be if they had spent most of their lives helping people to be and do better. So the question I ask myself is could so many people be wrong about this mans character for so many years? This truly puzzles me because I genuinely respect and like this gentleman and would hate for these allegations to be true. The Cosby Show is the first television show ever to depict a family of African Americans in a way that was not buffoonish of stereotypical, a Black Doctor and Lawyer! Wow imagine that, I can only hope that Mr. Cosby some how either confirms or denies what it is that he;s accused of because those of us who have enjoyed his humor and undying concern for all people would really like to know that we have not been wrong for all of these years in believing that this gentleman is and was someone very special. He is either a very vile and indecent human being or the victim of one of the worst character assassinations of all time. Mr. Cosby we are owed an explanation as to the charges because there are some of us who are truly puzzled by this and truly hope you are not the person who you are depicted as right now.
