This Buhari certificate saga has brought out a new Buhari who will earn greater respect from all rational and right thinking people. . A Buhari that is willing to suffer humiliation rather than impugn the integrity of National Institutions. His original documents were destroyed by the security forces when he was overthrown and arrested, but he never said so because that will effect the integrity of the security services. The Army lied about his credentials and possibly tampered with his personal information in his confidential file, yet he did not throw accusations. All he said is that he thought his documents were with the Army. Again he didnt want to portray the Army in bad light. What a decent gentleman. Can we say the same of the people who made our Army high command disclose confidential information merely on the strength of a Beer Parlour gossip? Who demanded for all those documents officially? Not INEC, not his opponents in the contest and certainly not the Nigerian people. And if any of the above wanted the Army to lay such facts bare, it should have required a Court of Law to authorise the Army to do want they did. But they simply threw caution to the winds and acted only at the behest of some forces that have turned every institution in Nigeria into an object of mockery. Forces that made our once dreaded fighting force into a laughing stock made up of soldiers who run away from battle, and who wait for Vigilantes and Hunters to lead them to battle. What a shame! I hope the Army will call another Press Conference to tell us that Buhari was a deserter who never even earned his commission. Hmmmmm, deya ris God wo!
