This Christmas marked the 10th anniversary of the falling asleep Metropolitan Anthony of the Metropolis of San Francisco. He was an exuberant and energtic leader with great vision and put into place many things that are still being emulated today by many other places. It was a St. Nicholas ranch and retreat center, the Folks Dance Festival ( FDF) , Kids & Cancer, the Bishop Anthony endowment it provides funds for students attending Holy cross Seminary the Hellenic College, Intense support of successful monasteries throughout the Metropolis of San Francisco, vibrant youth programs and the planting of missionary and full parish churches throughout his 25 years. He fell asleep in the Lord December 25 Christmas Day 2004, at the age of 69 , six months before his planned retirement He is dearly remembered, and greatly missed May, he rest in peace and his memory be Eternal....... The Alex and Faye Spanos Faith Heritage Center with his vision and will be opened before Pentecost 2015, that St. Nicholas ranch and retreat center
