This Coppersmith Barbet is wiser and experienced since he has chosen a much softer dead tree for making nest and progressed faster, evident from the amount of debris he was throwing out, of course a very exhaustive exercise , as against the picture which I posted last week of similar digging by another Barbet in different green hard tree resulted in slow progress and finally dropping off that site, Ambazari Nagpur, Maharashtra 30/10/2014
