This Day in Wrestling History......November 18th. 1963: WWWF Champion Bruno Sammartino defeats Gorilla Monsoon in a title match in MSG. 1964: WWF Champion Bruno Sammartino fought Waldo Von Erich to a no-contest after Brunos win was overturned by the State Athletic Comission. 1968: WWWF Champion Bruno Sammartino defeated The Sheik by DQ, when the Sheik wouldnt stop biting Brunos nose. Match took place at MSG. 1972: WWWF Champion Pedro Morales defeated The Sheik by count-out at Boston Garden. Show drew over 11 000. 1974: WWWF Champion Bruno Sammartino fought Bobby Duncum to a no-contest when both men were deemed to bloody to continue. 1975: Tony Parisi & Louis Cardan defeated The Blackjacks to win the WWWF Tag Team Championships at a TV Taping in Philadelphia. (match would air on TV December 6th). 1978: At the Spectrum in Philadelphia, WWWF Champion Bob Backlund defeated Jerry Crusher Blackwell. Also, Dusty Rhodes defeated Superstar Billy Graham in a texas bullrope match. Andre The Giant, Domenic DeNucci and Dino Bravo defeated The Yukon Lumberjacks & Spiros Arion in a 2 out of 3 falls match. SD Jones vs. Johnny Rods ended in a time-limit draw.
