This Election will be a Historically Critical one in the state of Mississippi because it can & should be remembered as the moment that Black Mississippians, Brown Mississippians, Progressive Mississippians, truly galvanized their votes as a collective and translated that potential into actual power. There is a substantial difference in having the ear of one party simply because they are aware they need your votes & having the ears of both candidates because they know they need them. Traditionally, since Kennedy and since the Dixiecrats left to join the Republicans many have voted with the Democratic Party... But today and in Mississippi where the lines have become so blurred between what A democrat & what a republican constitutes ... It is in the best interest of this bloc of people to vote not for a party but for whomever most convincingly reaches out to this constituency and intends to work with them on a consistent basis and not just in run-offs and general elections. There is power in our voices and our votes when utilized in a collective manner. brother Malcolm can articulate it much better than me. Shoutout Tyson Jackson for the post!
