This Friday, June 14, I pledge to abandon my facebook acct. The time has come to do away with this network and cease supporting the Zuckerburg empire of data mining. Many complaints are heard about posts being deleted without warning or cause, whole pages disappearing for no reason, poor to no response from facebook regarding issues, and more. More egregious, however, is the recent revelation regarding facebook aiding the shadow government in spying on American citizens. Zuckerburg responded with a prepared statement far too similar in composition to that of other aids to the shadow government. None of it was believable. We understand that in coming days, Zuckerburg and the others will be proven disseminators of fiction. Accordingly, I will ask all my friends on facebook to follow me on Twitter before Friday when my account will cease. Those of you concerned about the blatant and hidden data mining by facebook are advised to likewise end your facebook accounts. Twitter may not be the best alternative at the time but until it is known where best to land socially on the web, it will be my choice..
