This Friday, May 23, the American Corner Bucharest, in cooperation with the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission and its EducationUSA Advising Center (FEAC), hosted another presentation on U.S. study opportunities and academic life. Professor Robert Lawrence (2013-2014 U.S. Fulbright Scholar/University of South Florida) offered the audience a comparative view of the American and Romanian systems of higher education. Students and high schoolers from Bucharest had the opportunity to find out more about American colleges, departments and programs, types of degrees, campus life, research opportunities, student organizations and cultural diversity. Professor Lawrence provided an insider’s view of three American universities – UC Berkeley, UC San Diego and University of South Florida – based on his own experiences first as a student and then as a faculty member. It was also an opportunity for the audience to learn about the educational advising services provided by FEAC to all those interested in seeking an undergraduate and graduate degree in the US.
