This Good Political Tactics Is Not Good For Our Development (Tribalism and/or Tribal Politics): For the sake of politics individuals have become vessels for the propagation of divisive statements like: Hes an Akan..., ...dont vote for him; he hails from the Northern Region., Oh forget this Voltarian... and so on. These gimmicks, over the years, have proven to be successful for some politicos and political parties. But, sadly, while we enjoy the fruits of this style of campaign, we tend to overlook the subtle and covert adverse effects of its consequences. It has a profound, demeaning influence on culture and our doctrines as religious fellows. It erodes our true love for humanity. However, be that as it may, no condition, it is said, is permanent. This kind of political tactics will not stand the test of time but it will have to change with quick steps. This change cannot come without conscious efforts on our part. And this change could come not without an unchanged attitude and approach to campaigning geared towards winning political power. Notice that how you go about campaigning makes you either a builder or destroyer of our enviable cultural values, and at large our touted democratic credentials. Now, whether it is a Ga who leads us or Bono who follows, it behooves on all of us as a people and citizens of a particular blessed country - Ghana, to realize our common cause and future destiny. The promulgation of where you do you come from in this country? does nothing but a division of united efforts to achieving no less a common goal for the sustenance of our dear country. Let’s all come together to give a long-lasting meaning to our love for others and the patriotism of our nation - Ghana. God bless Ghana, and Africa. Amen!
