This Holiday season I have a lot to be thankful for... I believe all of us do and everyone reading this message do... So for this very reason, I want to give thanks to those who have put their lives in harms way to make sure that all of us have this moment to feel blessed and thankful. The last few weeks and months, I have read and seen a lot of negative posts about law enforcement and their actions... However, I see even less about these in law enforcement who stand proud in harms way to protect the very people who choose to make these negative posts and quite frankly, Im disgusted and offended by these individuals who focus on the few who may have brought disgrace to other proud and honorable individuals in law enforcement. Not to long ago, we saw these very same posts attacking men and women in our armed forces... Even those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, all to protect the same individuals who post negative crap about them here on these very facebook pages... This Holiday season, I challenge each and every one of you to do something... I challenge you all to take the time to watch a certain movie that will put your thoughts of negative posts, attacks on others into a different perspective... Ask yourself, Why are you here and who do we really have to thank for why we are here... Safe, with those we love and care about? If you dont or cant come to an answer, you need to sit in a quiet, dark room, uninterrupted and watch a movie called Taking Chance. Its not some exciting, war action, shoot em up Hollywood blockbuster... However, it is a movie that will make all of you think... Think about how blessed we all are that there are indeed others out there who will fight to protect you and I, and even those who want to talk trash, verbally abuse, and even assault these individuals who protect them from harms way, no matter who they are. Whether they be law enforcement or those past and present in our armed forces, there are individuals protecting all of us as you read this... Yet, when they give the ultimate price in doing their duty, we seldom hear what happens in their honor... This movie is about a fallen soldier, but it goes much deeper than that... It could be about any of us... Watch this movie and find the reason we all should be blessed we are here to share this holiday season with our friends, family and loved ones... All because of people like Lance Cpl. Chance Phelps... Trust me.... You will think differently about your problems, daily stress and more so, about what is really important in your life... If you have never seen it, you should... It may be hard to find in todays media world, (May have to buy it on Amazon or HBO, etc) but if you can, its worth your time to watch as it is truly one of the greatest, emotional movies you will ever watch...
