This IS our temporary home! Something we should never forget. We put so much effort and energy into our temporary home and take our permanent home for granted. I love this song so much. Those who know me know that I have 8 sons. I will never forget the day my son came to me and asked if I would ever consider adoption. He was then my foster son. When I inquired about why he asked , his response was that he would love to have a forever home. With tears in my eyes I was on the phone with the County arranging his adoption as well as his brother and the rest was history. My family grew by leaps and bounds. My large family brings me such joy and the only regret is that the time flew by too quickly and along with it, they found their wings. Some days it is almost unbearable knowing my house is now empty of the wrestling, although it was against my rules, (Momma, was no fool..lol) I miss the laughter and the teasing. I miss my boys but I am so happy that they have each one grown into such fine young men. I miss the road trips and grocery shopping that had everyone in the store watching as I marched through the isles with four or five baskets being pushed behind me by happy boys filling them up. Or trips to Baskin Robbins where each boy would pick out a quart of his favorite ice cream, some would wolf it down some would save part to enjoy in the middle of the night. Oh the memories, I just miss everything about my wonderful sons If I had it to do over again, I would adopt a dozen, or perhaps a bakers dozen! I cherish the phone calls, the visits, the notes and cards and date nights with Momma. (tonight..!) I cant wait my son... I have contemplated our date night all day! You are so sweet, thank you! Still, upon reflection, as much as I love my temporary home, thoughts of our permanent home in heaven is so grand and so amazing that the best day on earth cannot possibly compare.
