This Is Not A Fable, But An Inevitable Truth Intelligible To All – A Must Read and share There was a traveller going through the jungle and suddenly a tiger started chasing him. The man ran as fast as he could. Upon seeing a well he jumped into it hoping to escape from the tiger. As he was falling in the well, he grabbed onto the twig that grew in the crack of the well and saved himself. The man felt relieved for a moment, but as he looked down he saw a big Crocodile at the bottom of the well. It had its jaws wide open ready to swallow him up.The man’s hands were growing weaker and he thought to himself his destruction is certain either above or below, but still he continued to cling onto the twig. Then the man looked up and saw two mice one white and the other black nibbling at the twig. He realized that soon the twig would snap and he would fall into the Crocodile’s jaws. He then noticed a honeycomb nearby and tried to reach to it with his tongue and licked it. It was very tasty and for a moment he forgot about the Tiger, the Crocodile and the two mice nibbling at the twig. The great Scholar who gave this analogy went on to explain the meaning of this story. He said that the TIGER is like DEATH which is inevitably awaiting us. The CROCODILE with jaws open is like the GRAVE into which humans will inevitably fall. The WHITE MOUSE and the BLACK MOUSE are like DAY and NIGHT which are always nibbling at our LIFE (the TWIG). The HONEY is like the present WORLD which we live enjoying momentary sweetness which makes us forget the REALITY which is DEATH, GRAVE and the HEREAFTER
