This Italian Americans Viewpoint on the Beholden Globes. Caution:this post contains some bitterness. Although I am in complete solidarity with the sentiments expressed in last nights presentation with regard to the Paris victims and the racism in 50s Alabama, Hollywood has shown its usual partiality and disingenuous stance on the presentation of any Italians in a noble light. Unbroken and its remarkable patriot Luigi Zamperini were predictably snubbed by the Hollywood elite.This is a must see for any Italian American or anyone wanting to learn the extreme dedication of one man to our country. Thank you Angelia Jolie, you made a film Martin Scorcese should have made after making millions gutterizing my heritage. These award shows from Los Angeles are so bizarre as so many of these people seem like theyre one Percodan away from Creedmore in my not so humble opinion. New York (the Tonys) has mostly class and decorum. Thank you Peter Falk- although you were Jewish you gave us the last decent depiction in the media-a sharp, no nonsense, brilliant investigator constantly wearing a raincoat in sunny LA.
