This Message is for the coconut heads supporting President Jonathan-NLT The Declaration of an Islamic Caliphate in Gwoza: I have refrained from running commentary on the Boko Haram insurgency and all their shenanigans. But I have to break that convention after watching their latest video on YouTube and the reactions from netizen of the failed Lugardian extraction. Are you one of those who is scoffing and mocking at the military personnel from the Nigerian Army who voted with their feet and made good their escape into the mountainous terrain in Cameroun instead of holding their line in the battle against the insurgents? If you were in their shoes, would you have stayed behind and engaged the rampaging haramites with their superior fire power against the backdrop that your arsenal is stocked with relics and rusty shakabula cock & shoot rifles, magazines and antiquities from the first world war? I just watched the 17 minutes video for the umpteenth time on YouTube and I have to give kudos to the boys for running away into the safe ambience offered by the mountainous ridges of Cameroun with the Boko Haramic maniac hot on their heel armed with video recording devices like photo journalists from CNN. It was like a movie but unfortunately this was a real life and real time recording of an engagement from the battle field. I must not fail to hail our soldiers for doing the needful. He who fight and run away, lives to fight another day. It would have been a national disaster if 500 Soldiers were slaughtered in cold blood. Kudos to the gallant men who beat a hasty retreat to safety. This ordoriferous event has exposed the hypocrisy of those in charge of our national security architecture. Boko Haram practically drove into town armed with mounted vehicles, Rocket Propelled Grenade, (RPGs), Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), sophisticated Uzis, kalashikov, IEDS and what have you in their numbers in a manner that would have made the terrorists who declared the ISIS go green with envy. It was a mismatch and I have to give it to the boys for voting with their feet instead of foolishly standing in front of a moving train, and be slaughtered like chickens! The Defense Headquarters should save their propaganda for another day and stop denying the obvious by saying the annexation of certain portion of the failed Lugardian state by Boko Haram is not true. There is a video on YouTube where they practically run down the town displaying their fire power with braggadocio after hoisting their flag . A serious military would have engaged the insurgents using air superiority while the infantry mop up the carcass of the Haramic secessionists by engaging them on ground. But alas on both count, we aint there having been found wanting. Do not cry for Gwoza, for when they came for the Emir, we did not speak out because he was a third class chief from a border chiefdom! Do not cry for the 35 missing policemen and 480 soldiers who were mandated to hold the line against the insurgents, for giving up their positions like a pack of cards because they were overpowered. Cry for the Ogas at the top because by the time the insurgents drive into Abuja, all the way from Sambisa forest, there will be nobody to speak out or defend them as Boko Haram deal ruthlessly with them. The Boko Boys are NOT smiling, like an amanda they are coming onboard the last train to Konkobioko for the final show down! Like Goodluck Jonathan who ran away to Germany while his kitchen was on fire, aint you gonna run? The bad boys are coming!!!!!!!! -SA
