This Minivan has an important mission to accomplish: bridging the gap of contact between the rich and the poor in Rio de Janeiro. Youngsters from the favelas of Rio barely leave their neighbourhood and know very little about activities, sights and opportunities outside the favela. On the other hand, prejudices and negative stereotypes prevail on the rich side: favelas are all violent, no go areas. This is what we are going to do! We will take youngsters on unforgettable trips outside the favela, which are fun, educational and inspirational. With the same Minivan we bring art and culture from the favela to the centre and the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. These cultural events also establish a first positive contact with the other side of the city. The result: #1 youngsters are getting inspired for opportunities outside their direct neighborhood. #2 The rich and the poor meet each other and prejudices will reduce. #3 Artists from the favela establish new contacts important for their further career.
