This Morning Photoshoot, Utilizing a Very Old Film Lens Nikkor 105mm f2.5 AI-S lens, Same lens used to create the most notable portrait in Nat Geo Afhgan Girl taken by Steve McCurry using his Nikon FM2 Kodachrome and the Nikkor 105 F2.5 AI-S in 1985 A Small review: I bought this lens from a good friend of my Juro who happens to collect and repair old lenses. I asked him if he was selling any lenses and he mentioned he was selling his 105. I totally jumped on it. I have to admit this lens is sharp from 2.5 all the way to f16. Many photographers have replaced this lens with other portrait lenses like the 135mm f2 DC and for Canon 135 L and now the 70-200 zooms which give pretty much the same sharpness. Overall. i enjoyed this lens on the shoot. I do recommend it if you like to manual focus. Rockwell even mentions the lens has no flaws and today I would def agree with him.
