This NO Tailgate Tuesday (A tribute to real country music) needs no introduction. Its fantastic song, being performed by a man of legend (who was in his early 60s in this recording), on the cusp of THE GREATEST musical revival in history. This concert was the same year as Cashs AMAZING album American Recordings. The first in a series of six full length albums (3 albums: The Man Comes Around, Hundred Highways, and Aint no Grave being released posthumously) and one amazing box set (Unearthed). There is no denying the greatness of Johnny Cash. Even if you dont like his music, his impact was felt across almost all genres of music. This song (written by the brilliant Kris Kristofferson), is so heartbreaking and yet at the same time full of hope.... Cashs voice just drags every bit of that out into the light and forces you to confront it, even if you dont want to.... I dont know.... its just beautiful
