This NZ summer (winter) keeps being a rough one... During the World Cup week, we had thick fog almost every day, the men´s slopestyle had to be completely cancelled while us women had almost no practice and waited over 5hours on the contest day until the judges were somehow able to see us. I was happy to have landed a run without seeing the landings, but ended up 15th, not bad but also not as good as I was hoping. The worst part of the World Cup was crashing onto my shoulder very hard in pipe practice 2 days later. I only wanted to do pipe for fun anyways - the Cardrona pipe is always very good - but going shoulder first into the flat it wasn´t that good. 4 Xrays later I knew my collarbone wasn´t rebroken and that my AC joint seemed just sprained and not seperated. Some luck in the bad luck. I was hoping for a miracle to compete in the Mile High in Australia 3 days later, but it didn´t happen. Ended up watching a fantastic event on a great course in beautiful weather, but being a spectator isn´t the same as participating... Now I´m back in NZ with just 2 more days before the Burton High Fives start... jumped the first time yesterday since my pipe crash, shoulder feels a lot better, but it´s still going to be a wild ride to go from scared straight airs to good contest runs within 2 days...especially having a cold on top now... the harder everything gets, the more likely it will get easier next... hopefully soon....
