This Pear Tarte Tatin absolutely delicious :) ...hot with cream, crème freche or icecream...made it last night RECIPE FOR PEAR TATIN Ingredients: 2 X Sheets Puff Pastry (Butter Puff). I made my own rough puff pastry but premade from supermarket works well too. 125 g Butter 1 Cup Sugar 8-9 Beurre bosc pears (Brown pears) - peeled, cored halved In a pan (one that can be placed in oven), melt butter and sugar until light coloured toffee. Place pears hump down, tails in, on low heat and simmer. Turn them and cook until soft and caramel (40 mins?) Turn heat off, Pears hump end down, cover with pastry and tuck pastry in. If you do not have suitable pan transfer pears and syrup to pie dish and cover with pastry and tuck in. In oven (pan and all) 200 Degrees C, 10 -20 minutes until pastry is brown Cool and using a couple of tea towels, turn over quickly, transferring onto plate. Turn away from body. Serve with double crème, ice cream or crème freche :) Enjoy☺
