This Stop Nato site reports on all these joint multi-nation exercises by the military forces of its members, which, no doubt, cost a ton of money, and consume tons of fossil fuel. What we really need is a similar kind of multi-nation joint exercise effort to prepare to deal with all the accelerating unnatural climate change induced disasters that all nations will increasingly be experiencing. The tactics of military positioning and maneuvering will have little relevance for helping nations attached by a global warming induced, weather related disaster. These NATO joint forces are rehearsing for the battles of a world that was, militarily speaking, while their nations leaders ignore engaging into today and tomorrows world, particularly the primarily do or die battle to save humanity from the devastations of climate change. They can agree to these grand scale joint military exercises, but they have so far, for decades, been unable to agree to a binding global change treaty. All indications are that they will again fail to do so at the next world climate change summit in Paris in 2016. Sad---if not criminal!
