This Sunday, December 7th, will be the 73rd anniversary of the dastardly Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Dad was stationed aboard the USS Pennsylvania, which happened to be in dry dock on that horrific Sunday morning. My Dad was polishing his shoes next to his best friend when the attack began. His friend was killed. There are not many Pearl Harbor Survivors left these days, most, including my Dad, have passed. The Pearl Harbor Survivors Association was disbanded several years ago, the surviving members being to old and frail to keep it going. I honor those brave men and women who served at Pearl Harbor that fateful Sunday morning. My friend Barbra Barbara St Johns father was also at Pearl Harbor that morning. We will never forget.
