This Sunday morning (16-11-2014), Uganda’s Capital City - TopicsExpress

This Sunday morning (16-11-2014), Uganda’s Capital City Authority Director-Mrs. Jennifer Semakula Kiwanuka Musisi braced the day by attending service and fellowshipping with the Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral congregation. It has been 3 years since her appointment to the office and great success has since been registered. Flanked by her KCCA administrative team, they were applauded by the believers for the landmark progress quite visible in the city. She thanked Miracle Centre Cathedral senior pastors Robert and Jessica Kayanja for the unwavering support from the very start of her appointment, but most especially for being the first to catch on the vision of beautifying the city. In her speech and sermon, she highlighted how her role and duty has nothing to do with her, but that it is a mandate and service to God to “leave a legacy in this-our generation.” When the Lord spoke to her about being the person He is choosing to organize and improve the city, she did not believe that His voice was speaking to her. She continued to sip her tea and brushed the ‘small voice whispering’ in her mind aside, she testified. It kept lingering but was later to be confirmed by the high office in the land; she received a call to meet H.E Yoweri. K. Museveni who requested for her service in spite of having taken early retirement. But she remembered how she had prayed to God for an integral person fit to manage the city to its true glory. That particular morning she was reading in the papers that parliament had approved the establishment of the position of city director which H.E the president of Uganda assented to. “A person who does not remember where they came from is not an ungrateful person.” It is in the same spirit that Mrs. Jennifer Musisi laid the foundation of her sermon. She came to give God all the glory but also thank the people of Kampala who have been instrumental in its taking shape. She also added that it is all because of God and by God that all the victories and successes have been achieved. Revenue collections have more than doubled in three years, infrastructural development is on the rise, the general neatness and order in the city is taking shape every single day, investors are now easily attracted than before, and the beauty of all this is that, we are all stakeholders who are contributing to building and beautifying the city’s and country’s image. The country is going to higher heights of greatness. “I am excited when I hear my other countrymen leading other towns admiring and are borrowing a leaf from what we are doing. “The president has told me once that when visitors come to the city they notice an improvement…” and so she thanked the Lord for protecting her and her team and their families. She called upon all Ugandan’s to love and have a heart for doing even better. She remarked that there is no greater satisfaction than in serving God and being remembered for a work that cannot be erased. Pastors Robert and Jessica Kayanja together with their ministry donated tune of 21 million Uganda Shillings ($ 8500) worth of equipment to help in her smooth running of city affairs.
