This Sunday morning video is in honor of the passing of MG Bernard Fischer, USAF Retired, very likely the last of the Vietnam era Sandy (AD-1) drivers. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his rescue in the Au Shau Valley of a fellow downed AD-1 pilot under intense enemy ground fire, and in both landing and taking off on a strip that was 2/3rds shorter than the ADs envelope called possible, even when the Sandy was stripped. We honor the service and sacrifices of all current and former military personnel. Major General Fischer was a true American hero. His selfless act to save a fellow pilot is truly inspiring. Thank you Mike Kiernan for letting us know of this sad passing and thank you Tom Dozier for this video.
