This Sunday we are re-watching Requiem for a Dream with Alumna - TopicsExpress

This Sunday we are re-watching Requiem for a Dream with Alumna Ellen Burstyn! As stated on imdb, during her impassioned monologue about how it feels to be old, cinematographer Matthew Libatique accidentally let the camera drift off-target. When director Darren Aronofsky called cut and confronted him about it, he realized the reason Libatique had let the camera drift was because he had been crying during the take and fogged up the cameras eyepiece. This was the take used in the final print. Even though this movie might be a little too intense for some people to stomach, as it deals with different forms of drug addiction and its consequences, to us its a masterpiece, and any Acting student should see the inspiring performances in it!
