This Sunday’s Gospel is from Christ’s farewell discourse to his disciples before His Death. We can hear His deep concern and love for those who have been with Him during His ministry. He reassures them that, not only will He prepare a place for them, but that He will come back for them. Christ’s declaration that He is “the Way and the Truth and the Life” is a summary of all of His teaching. One of the songs we often sing at Mass at Saint Benedict Academy is “I am the Bread of Life.” You should find text from this song directly references John’s Gospel this weekend.
