This TBT a story rather than a picture: A number of years ago, wandering the floor of an Atlantic City casino my eyes locked with a man, he was taller than me. He was wearing a colorful Dashiki and sporting a long scraggly white beard and he smiled broadly at me because he knew I recognized him. He then walked towards me, his arms held open wide and hugged me close. Mr. Gregory, I said, I have been a fan of yours for a long time, so pleased to meet you. No man, he said, Im Richie Havens. I tried to explain that it was the beard that threw me. He was so very gracious. We sat and played slots next to each other for about an hour just talking about life. What a joy of a man he was. He was in town for a show and was just killing time. Apparently I was in the same town to learn a life lesson. TBT.
