This TED video by a Neuroanatomist who had a stroke and then an epiphany is still one of my favourite videos. Jill describes something that I know from personal experience but I experienced it in a different way. When I was about ten I used meditate on words until I lost their meaning, Then I would think how funny that word sounded when it had lost its meaning. I would then focus on remembering what the word meant again which at times was quite a process. At the time it was just a quirky little mental exploration for me but in later years I it taught me just how much power we put into these funny noises we give so much meaning to. With just a few funny noises we have the power to create or destroy, to uplift or demoralise. There are many words in the English language that really hold us back from a very great potential. Words are a kind of programming language for our subconscious and they are a tool with which we express our intent be it conscious or subconscious. Choose your words wisely. :) youtube/watch?v=UyyjU8fzEYU
