This Thursday is the concert at Soldier Field for Jay Z and Beyonce. I am a big fan of Jay Z and Beyonce. But more of a fan of our young people here in Chicago being affected by gun violence. Ive discussed already peoples priorities. They cant even pay Peter or Paul, but can manage to afford thousand dollar tickets or five hundred. I am also amazed by the fact nobody is asking Jay Z or Beyonce for anything, knowing our city is hurting. Knowing that with a net worth of almost $1billion dollars as a couple, with one check they can help my friend Diane Latiker open back up the Kids Off the Block Center, with one check they can help my friend Pastor Chris Harris hire back his youth he had to lay off because the Governor cut his funding, not to mention Englewood, Roseland, the Westside, Southshore, all areas where Chicagos effected by urban violence has also struggling programs who lack funding! WE OBVIOUSLY NOT GETTING GOVERNMENTS HELP, WHY NOT CALL ON OUR CELEBRITIES WHO CAN MAKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN OUR CITIES, BUT GIVE NOT ONE DIME TO OUR EFFORTS TO SOLVE OUR ISSUES!!! #WEGOT99PROBLEMS #DRANKONTHAT #JAYZANDBEYONCECONCERT #GUNVIOLENCE
