This. To my friends who dont think that white privilege is a thing. Who think its OK to perpetuate the cycle of hate against law enforcement as a whole. Who do shit like, Hey, what about all the illegal immigrants pouring into our country? and What about the war in Iraq? and...yeah. You. Please -- tell me a moment in your privileged life where youve feared for it on account of racial injustice. Thank a cop. The few assholes make the news while the good ones keep fighting every day for less pay than you or I bring home. And check your privilege. Im doing better to check mine. And living in a city like Chicago makes me think about my privilege daily.
