Yes, we have witnessed the ape-pocalypse thanks to the Planet of the Apes film franchise but ever consider a Rise of the Dogs given how mans best friends are often given the short end of the stick of goodness by humans? In White God (Fehér isten in Hungarian), the Hungarian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, we have a truly unique film with more than a few real messages with the brain behind the film, Hungarian film-maker, actor, and screenwriter Kornél Mundruczó using the revolution as a metaphor for the current political unrest in Europe. Nevertheless, we are more than certain that the film is going to strike more than a chord with dog lovers.
