This #VW #Tiguan had been correctly diagnosed as having an EGR - TopicsExpress

This #VW #Tiguan had been correctly diagnosed as having an EGR valve problem by another garage. They had quoted the owner a staggering £650 to replace the valve, it sounds excessive but it isnt on one these vehicles as the location of the valve is at rear of the engine and is hidden behind the Transfer box, DPF and Catalytic converter. To replace it you must remove the front subframe, O/S drive shaft, transfer box, Cat & DPF. This gives you access to the EGR valve and cooler to remove them. The valve costs a hefty £360 to buy then all the labour to fit it. We where called in by the young lady who owns it to see if we could help, after an initial diagnosis and evaluation to ascertain the cause of the fault it was obvious that a carbon build up in the EGR system was to blame, we then attached our patented EGR/DPF/Turbo and Induction cleaner to the engine and ran the also patented cleaning agents through the egr/turbo/egr cooler and all associated pipe work to clean the system without removal of the valve. After an initial test drive we re adapted the valve parameters and instigated a test procedure with our VW diagnostic equipment and deemed the system to be now working perfectly well. No parts where replaced during this process only cleaned without the need for removal from the engine. If your having problems with any aspect of the Emission control system on your engine, call in the experts in the field to assess and rectify without replacing expensive parts. The total cost was less half the cost of the original estimate to replace the valve. This was undertook at the owners home address so no need to take the car to a garage and be off the road.
