This WEEKEND UPDATE is brought to you by Michael. Michael is a very gentle and easy going boy who just wants to be your shadow and go wherever you go to be by your side. He is crate-trained, kid & pet friendly, and ready to start a new life with YOU! Stop by the shelter and ask to meet him. Lets find Michael a forever home before his one-year anniversary at the shelter rolls around in a few weeks. Today was a busy day. We had volunteers at Richland for the Farmers Market this morning as well as more volunteers here at the shelter for another obedience training session with our shelter dogs. We also welcomed a BIG volunteer group to MCAC with our new volunteer orientation class at 11 a.m. All of that action was before we even opened for the day. Now for the best part of Saturday- the list of adopted pets from this week: Cats- Cabrillo & X-man(now forever siblings) Clay & Felix(brothers who stuck together) Francesca Gabbi & La Jolla Gail Jake Jasmine Loren Mary Mystique Nylea Sally Superbowl Thor Tip Trophy X-man Zoey Dogs- Baily(our beautiful Belgian) Cookie(big thanks to Saintsamongus.org for the rescue) Daniel July and last but not least...SHANIA(18 months was enough!) Fosters- Sweetie Otto Judy Solona We saved 43 lives this week with 24 adoptions, 5 fosters and 14 lost pets reunited with their owners. We also have applications pending or special interest in Cassiopeia, Frenchy, Russia and Shrek to name a few. Hopefully well see their names and many more on next weeks list of adopted pets.
