Noble Mark Donavan, Blue Ridge Seafood and Ill Jim Kincheloe, P.P., are putting on this delicious dinner. All of this for only $35.00 if you buy your ticket in advance or 40.00 if you pay at the door. Saturday, April 19 – The 2014 Easter Egg Hunt and Klownfest will start at 1:00 sharp. The Klowns are practicing their Klownfest Show and the Legion of Honor members are planning for the eggs and snacks. You need to gather the kids and come out to have fun. The Legion asks Nobles to provide plastic eggs filled with hard candy or jelly beans. Closer to the date, please provided two dozen candy filled eggs and drop off at the Legion’s door. That would be a great help to the Legion members who works very hard on this Kena Family event. Saturday, May 10 - Kena Yacht Club Pirates’ Ball, cocktails at 6:00, beer and wine provided, and dinner at 7:00 p.m. Dress up in your pirate costume and attend the ball to have a good time. Or come without a costume. The price is $50.00 per person and includes dinner, dancing and contests. There will be prizes for best costume, for walking the plank and more. A Scavenger Hunt promises a good time and prizes. Special room rates are available at the Fairview Park Marriott for those who can to spend the night. The Spurmont Lodge Barbeque Team will provide barbeque ribs and chicken legs with all the trimmings. Get in your reservation to [email protected]. Ladies, make sure he gets in the reservation. Michael Perry will serenade our Ladies with music from their youth. We are going to have great food and a good time. In addition to appreciating all Ladies, we will be honoring two outstanding Kena Ladies, Kay Hall and Kathy Weinhardt, who have done so much for Kena. [email protected]. Ladies Oriental Shrine and Daughters of the Nile Upcoming Events Sunday, April 13 – The Ladies Oriental Band, LOS, is sponsoring a fundraiser Surf or Turf Dinner (Salmon or Roast Beef with all the sides and beverages) at Kena Shriners. The Dinner starts at 2:00 and goes to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 and reservations can be made by calling Kay Walkinshaw, or Marlene Woods.
