This Week in From Page to Screen....The Last Illusion/Lord of Illusion. This week we will look at Clive Barkers short story The Last Illusion which was of course was turned into the feature film Lord of Illusion in 1995 which barker wrote and directed. The story first appeared in in Barkers short story collection Books of Blood vol 6. Lord of Illusions is a 1995 American horror film written and directed by Clive Barker. The story and film center around one of Mr. Barkers favorite characters Harry DAmour; a private eye who often becomes involved in cases dealing with the occult. He is drawn to the dark side. In this story he is investigating a well known stage magician whos magic may not be just slight of hand, Soon cosmic dread prevails. The film stars Scott Bakula as DAmour, alongside Kevin J. OConnor, Famke Janssen and Daniel von Bargen. So any thoughts on the story as well the film? Who has read the story and seen the film??
