Tuesday night from 7-10pm Streaming online at: freewillradio.org (Broadcasting locally at 100.9 fm on your radio dial) Well, you may have noticed (but probably not) that ol Nazel missed a couple shows the past couple of weeks, as the entire Pickins clan headed south for spring break. No, Florida, California, or even Texas wasnt sunny and warm enough (or far enough away) for these weary winter-worn westerners.....so they headed south of the border, to Mexico! Nazel, Daisy, Cherry, and Cotton Pickins packed up their sunglasses, sandals, swim trunks, sun-tan lotion, straw hats, Spanish-translation book, and bottled water for a sun-filled, salsa-drenched, cerveza and tequila-fueled family adventure. They traded in there dead presidents for some pesos, sampled the local cuisine, listened to the local music, took lazy siestas in palapa roofed bungalows, snorkeled with the whale-sharks and manta rays, sampled the local spirits, and ducked the federales for almost two weeks! While they are more then happy to return home to the wild (and relatively lush) Siskiyous, it was a more then memorable excursion that Nazel will account along with some tasty Mexican-flavored country music. So, this week, the music will be spiced up a bit, hopefully you gringos can handle the heat....So grab yer sombrero, get some sand in yer boots, and suck down that slippery tequila drenched worm......cause this week on Mixed-Up Confusion, Nazel takes you on a Mexican vacation, connects with his bandito compadres, and throws caution to the southern sea breeze, on a Pickins Spring Break Mexican Style!
