This Weekend The 41st Annual Potato #Festival Takes #Alliston By Storm. The festival gets underway at 6pm Friday night with the parade. The parade starts at Banting Memorial High School and ends at Alliston Memorial Arena – Victoria street west to Paris Street South to Nelson Street East. At the same time the Midway, Flea Market and Beer Garden open at the Fair Grounds Located at the Corner of Tupper Street West and Church Street South behind the Fire Hall. Kick your Saturday Morning off with a Pancake Breakfast at St Johns Church on Victoria Street across from Shoppers Drug Mart from 7 to 11am. The Fairgrounds reopen at 9am with a fun filled day of activities and dont forget to visit the Food Booths run by the Boy Scout’s, Knights of Columbus and the Everett Fire Fighter’s. On Sunday the Flea market gets underway at 9am by the Midway doesnt open until 11am and runs till 5pm. Dont miss out on the Lawn Tractor Races starting at 2pm. The day concludes with a Concert in the Park at Riverdale Park from 6 to 8pm featuring Beeton Creek Rising. Admission to the Fair Grounds for a Weekend Pass is $10.00, Daily Admission $5.00, Seniors $3.00 and Children Under 11 Free. Weekend Passes Can be purchased at the Gate or at Brisco Furniture or Taylors Jewellers on Victoria Street.
