This Week’s HaLevi Home Miraculous Micro Moments Per my last - TopicsExpress

This Week’s HaLevi Home Miraculous Micro Moments Per my last blog, let’s talk real-life “macro” vs. “micro” moments: Macro – trying to potty train my youngest Micro – well, let’s just say I finally figured out why he wasn’t going in the potty. It entailed wet socks. Macro – my older three kid’s responsibility to do chores around the house. Micro – me losing my voice from yelling at them all week long to actually do them. Macro – the stress of being a rabbi and preparing for the High Holy Days (think Jewish accountant prepping for Jewish tax season) Micro – my wife losing her voice from yelling at me that she doesn’t care that I’m writing my Macro Sermons, and to pick up a broom and clean up my not so micro messes. Macro – that world terror is on the rise, climate change wreaking havoc on the planet and the Red Sox are 20 games back, in the dumps and staring down a season of finishing in last place. Micro – that my wife loves me and I love her regardless of world terror. That I adore my children and they adore me (when I’m not yelling at them to turn off the micro lights to save on our macro plus electric bill), irrespective of melting glaciers. And that I’m here, with you, above ground and able to write, I suppose even knowing that the Sox are bound to finish in last place. The macro is huge, it’s real and it’s all out there waiting to be tackled. The micro, however, may be little, but it’s more real, more huge and waiting to be embraced. Don’t spend your life only on the macro. Take a step back and appreciate the micro, the stuff right under your nose, the moments right in front of your face. Id love to hear what were miraculous micro moments this week? Rabbi B
