At this point, he is keen to take time to review his professional opportunities, which include returning to his position of Regional Vice President for Africa. As a member of the leadership team, we will continue to rely on him to provide intellectual leadership, as well as analytical and operational guidance on a number of important issues. With the Annual Meetings approaching, effective today I will oversee the management of the Africa Region, coordinate the work with our clients and staff, and lead our bilateral engagements with the Africa Region delegations. I will share with you shortly the acting arrangements beyond the Annual Meetings. Under Makhtars leadership the Region achieved impressive results -- improved delivery of our program as well as strategic assistance to cope with major crises, including the ongoing Ebola epidemic. The FY14 record commitment, the unprecedented disbursement level, the strong quality of the analytical work along with the innovative initiatives he has led, have been key factors to achieve our objectives in both IDA and IBRD countries. Makhtar has demonstrated that constant attention to quality and drive to achieve lasting impact can be combined with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of our clients. His deep understanding of the political economy in Africa has been a key factor in building trust and collaboration at the highest levels with our clients. His contribution has been widely recognized and praised by our client countries, partners, and shareholders. He has been and continues to be a respected voice on major issues pertaining to Africas development challenges.
