This a RARE match on tape from 1998 featuring me wrestling in my original wrestling gimmick, the Aerial Assassin, Vertigo! I wrestle in the very first match against a guy ECW fans will recognize, HC Loc! A couple of notes here: this match was pretty early on. I was trying to put on muscle, but Im still pretty thin here- I didnt really bulk up for another two or years. I was going to flip over the ropes to enter the ring, but i remember worrying about slipping on the new canvas, so i entered the ring in the conventional way. I still cringe watching the leapfrog I botch- I want a do over! We cut the match a bit short due to time constraints- I was going to powerbomb Loc before he gave me the Diamond Cutter. I wish I had given it to him! Loc used this match for his WWF audition tape, he told me later. The chops in the match legitimately hurt like hell. Also, we were EXTREMELY proud of the production values of these NBW shows. We had no idea what we were doing, were young hotshots trying to make names for ourselves, and this video is the document of that (warts and all). It was a pretty cool era in my life, and Im still friends with a lot of these guys. Thanks to Brett Williams for uploading this rare gem.
