This a narrative as seen from one side of the Israeli-Palestinian divide. It may indeed be a valid one in that it does not overstate or simplify issues that have been around for decades. There is, of course, a Palestinian counterpart and this, no doubt, will have its own take on the subject. But, no matter who is right or wrong here, nothing has fundamentally changed, and, until something does, no movement forward will be observed, no meeting of minds, no mutually agreed exit policy for a situation that has survived these past 66 years and looks set to stay with us all for many more yet.
