This ado about forcing the Redskins to change the name because the name redskins is offensive to some is much ado about damn little. First of all, show me in the constitution where any one has the right NOT to be offended. For that matter, political correctness OFFENDS ME! But all that said, here is something to think about: what if we insisted that the teams be nicknamed for the reputation of the city/area where they are located? For example, the NY Giants, which are actually in New Jersey, could be called the Jersey Jerks. And the Jets? How about the NY Mafia. Just think about it...instead of the Dolphins it would be the Miami Hi-jackers and the Chicago Bears would be renamed Crooked politicians. San Francisco 49ers? Naaa it would have to be the San Francisco Gays. And how about the Chargers...appropriately renamed the San Diego Illegal Aliens. WHAT? You say I am not politically correct? I take that as a compliment. Thank You. By the way, feel free to add your own recommendations for name changes.
