This afternoon Blue Mountains Police Rescue were called out of area to assist with a vertical rescue incident at Mulgoa. A 31 year old Silverdale woman had fallen from a 4m cliff and become wedged in a rock shelf at a lookout at the end of Fairlight Rd. Upon arrival vertical rescue operators from F&RNSW, assisted by local RFS had a rescue system already in place. The victim was lowered to the ground and carried back to the top of the cliff. The woman was then airlifted out by Ambulance Rescue helicopter to Westmead hospital.
