This afternoon, Connetta and I were at the House of Mews in Memphis today and we picked up Chester, a cat who lost his caregiver about two weeks ago. He ended up at The House of Mews thanks to a kind neighbor who saved Chester from being euthanized. When my wife say the photo on the left, her heart was moved and we decided to adopt Chester. The photo on the right is me holding Chester before we left Memphis and returned to Amory. Chester is a little stressed from his long ride and is hiding in his clean litterbox right now. This is normal for any cat who has been moved yet again into strange surroundings and he should be OK in a little bit. Like people,It takes a cat like Chester a long time to get over the stress of losing a home, and being moved twice in as many weeks to new ans strange surroundings. Well, all I can say is that he has a good home and the exhibited behaviors I observed this afternoon assure me that Chester will recover fully. He just needs a little TLC and a lot of patience right now and we can ensure that he will get that. I want to thank Elaine for this wonderful cat and you can be assured that we will be supporting the House of Mews as our charity of choice. MHL
