This afternoon I had the pleasure of presenting my oral argument to the Maine Supreme Court on Zablotny v. Maine State Board of Nursing. As the attorney for the individual Nurse the essential issue is whether the nurses right to work and to practice his profession was violated by the procedure and hearing conducted by the State Board and the lower courts affirming of that decision. In the vast majority of cases the Law Court does not grant oral argument but they have in this case. Also the Court granted a stay which has allowed the Nurse to continue to work through the course of this case. Today my arguments were extremely well received by all the Justices. I have no idea how it will be decided and it could be several months before there is a decision but I am thankful for the full and fair process that the state supreme court is giving this case
