This afternoon I shot the Newcastle Rugby Union Premier 1 game between Hamilton and Southern Beaches at Passmore Oval. I shoot with a Canon 400mm prime lens; prime essentially means it doesnt zoom. Its a fixed focal length. I use it because it gets the reach I require and the fact its such a sharp lens. At times, it gets me a touch too close. This is an example.
