This afternoon I was taking a nice stroll through West Hollywood - TopicsExpress

This afternoon I was taking a nice stroll through West Hollywood and found myself waking into a hole in the wall pawn shop that was very dirty, cluttered and dark. As I walked in, I saw an old beat up guitar in a back shadowed corner. Catching my eye, I slowly made my way over to it. The owner of the shop came out from the back, a fairly older gentleman dressed in all black. I asked about the history of guitar as I was holding it and he said a man had brought it in about 25 years ago from England. He said he was told by the man to hold onto it until he returned. Unfortunately the man never came back and it has been sitting in that very spot for 25+ years. Very dusty and brittle, I picked away at the stings as the man listened and watched. He asked my name and where i was from, I kindly said my name is Jordan Carroll and I am from Phoenix Arizona, as I continued to play. He complimented me on my style and sound and gave me a long hard look which I could see out of the corner of my eye. He then said to me, I think this guitar right here has been waiting for you all these years. I kind of laughed and stopped playing, I looked at him and he just shook his head and said I should take it. I told him that I was not looking to spend any money at the moment but it sure was a nice piece if work. As I handed it back to him he said no and pushed it away. He told me to take it home and play it like Ive never played before. I didnt believe him at first but the look he gave me after, suddenly let me know that he was being serious, which made me very excited. We talked for a while, I thanked him and shook his hand. As I walked out he said Jordan.. I turned around, holding the door open by the dusty knob, he said I know you. I didnt say a word and walked out and continued my way down the blvd, wondering what he meant by that last comment. I still do not understand his meaning. I did my research on the guitar when I returned to my hotel and came to find it is a rare vintage 1952 handmade guitar, produced in Japan and only sold in the United Kingdom. It seems to have all its original hardware and strings. It could use a little tuning, but I have yet to do anything with it but sit and stare at it...
