This afternoon, agents with the United State Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Erskin Johnson, 25, of Fort Pierce, for the June 3, 2014 homicide of Clifford Lott. Johnson is currently located in the Hillsborough County Jail and is being held without bond. On October 17, 2014, Fort Pierce Police Detective Tyrone Campbell obtained arrest warrants for the June 3, 2014 home invasion robbery that left victim, Cliffird Lott shot one or more times. At the time of the incident, Lott was transported to a local trauma center for treatment. Lott later died on June 14, 2014 from complications of those injuries. Lott’s death was ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office. Erskin Johnson was arrested and charged with Homicide While Engaged in Certain Felony Offenses, Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon Without Intent to Kill, Burglary With Assault or Battery and Possession of a Weapon By Convicted Florida Felon. Chief Amandro said, Johnson’s arrest is the culmination of some great police work and cooperation of our citizens. It demonstrates the police departments commitment to Protecting our Community!” The investigation into this case is ongoing.
